Pastoral Leadership

Appointed Pastor of St. Michael Charanga Parish on September 19, 2021, Fr. John shepherds 6,000 Catholics across 12 outstations in Kenya's arid Tigania West. Under his guidance, the parish:
1. Celebrates daily Mass at the parish center and Sunday liturgies across a long distance radius communities.
2. Administers Sacraments of Reconciliation and Anointing in remote villages.
3. Leads catechetical programs through 12 outstations.

Fr. John spearheads holistic transformation in this ASAL region where 95% live below the poverty line:
"We answer both spiritual hungers and physical needs – for water, education, and
dignity."
Key initiatives he oversees:
1. Water Access: Championing
the $ 12,905 solar pump project to end 14 km water journeys.
2. Education Revival: Rebuilding St. Michael Primary School with new classrooms.
3. Social Justice: Rescuing girls from FGM through parish- sponsored schools.
4. Economic Empowerment: Women's literacy programs and drought-resistant farming

Known for walking miles to reach cut-off outstations during floods, Fr. John embodies servant leadership: Personally manages project implementation (remodeling priest's house, borehole repairs) Mentors seminarians and coordinates visiting sisters for expanded outreach
